Ancak bu kanıtların nasıl elde edileceğine dair ayrıntılı bir rehber mevcut değildir. Bununla beraber VDmax metodundaki çoğu prosedür unsuru ANSI/AAMI/ISO 11137-2: Metot 1’dekine benzemekle beraber, ayrıntılı incelenmesi gereken farklılıklar mevcuttur. Radyasyon Mikrobiyolojisi Laboratuvarı (RML) deney şartlarında VD(max)25 metodunun prosedürü oluşturulmuş ve valide edilmiştir. Bunun yanında, metot iki yıldan beri gelen üretici firma talepleri doğrultusunda rutin test hizmeti olarak başarı ile uygulanmaktadır. RML, Türkiye’de VD(max)25 metodunun da dahil olduğu “radyasyonla sterilizasyonun validasyonu” standardından (ANSI/AAMI/ISO 11137-2: 2006) akredite olmuş tek laboratuardır.The International standards for radiation sterilization require evidence of the effectiveness of a minimum sterilization dose of 25 kGy but do not provide detailed guidance on how this evidence can be generated. Although many of the procedural elements in method VDmax are similar to those of Method 1 of ANSI/AAMI/ISO 11137-2, there aredTfferences that require elaboration. In this project, test procedure of VD(max)25 method was established and then validated in Radiation Microbiology Laboratory (RML) test conditions. Beside, this method has been applied successfully for two years in order to reply the demand of the manufacturer firms as routine test service.
