Abstract
When elemental concentrations are too minute to be determined directly by AAS, pre-concentration by extraction procedures with organic solvent is one of the methods to get the concentration of metals high enough for accurate determinations. Extraction method also enhance the atomic absorption of metals by removing interfering substances. In this study, prior to AAS analysis the optimum conditions for lead chelating with APDC and NaDDC and the solvent extraction of these chelates into MIBK phase are investigated.
