Abstract
In this work the experimental results of radiation-chemical transformation of hexane on the aluminum surface obtained by IR reflection-absorption (RAS) spectroscopy method at the room temperature have been presented. On the base of the analysis of IR spectra have been shown that the gamma-irradiation of Al-ads.n-hexane heterosystem promotes decomposition of n-hexane and formation of both lighter and heavier than hexane hydrocarbons and olefins as hexen-1, propylene, butylene-1, trans-hexen-3 and ethylene on the surface of aluminum. It is established that in the system the formation of gaseous molecular hydrogen (H2) and its accumulation in hydrides form take place.
