Abstract
Bu çalışmada nötron aktivasyon analizi tekniği ile cevher içindeki, makro ve eser elementler ile toryum konsantrasyonu tayın edilmiştir. Elementlerin konsantrasyonlarını o tayininde standard olarak IAEA, Soil-5 ve SL-1 referans standard örnekleri kullanılmıştır. Örnekler ve standardlar İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesinde bulunan TRIGA Mark II Reaktöründe ışınlanmıştır. Tayinler Ge(Li) dedektoründe yapılmış ve 4096 kanallı analizör kullanılmıştır. Örneklerdeki toryum konsantrasyonu, 311.8 keV enerjideki 233Pa pik'i alınarak tayin edilmiştir.
This work is concerned for the determination of traces major and thorium concentration in complex matrices such as ore with the neutron activation analysis technique. IAEA , Soil-5 and SL-1 have been used as the multielement standards in the determination of elemental abundances in the ores. Both samples and standards were irradiated in the TRIGA Mark II Reactor of the Istanbul Technical University. High-resolution lithium drifted germanium detector and 4096 channel analyzer was used for the nondestructive determinations. The concentrations of thorium in the samples were determined by measuring the intensity of 233Pa peak with an energy of 311,8 keV.
